I dont think I need to explain why Stranglehold is a good card. This prevents your opponents from searching a library, not your library, not their library, A library. This turns off any tutor they may have and makes a fetch land useless. The main value is stopping your opponents from searching libraries but the second ability could be very good against someone using Lighthouse Chronologist and stopping the extra turn. I've used strangehold quite a few times to great effect. The biggest impact this enchantment has is stopping your opponent from searching your library. No one knows how annoying it is to have this card used on them until you actually see it in play.
